You know my shirt today says: “Live like someone left the gate open” I feel like this whole year of 2020 many people feel like their gate has been closed. Not being able to do this or that, how many things you typically would’ve already done or had planned this summer have been called off or put to a halt... You know I got to thinking... Some cows will run out of the gate when it’s open, and some just run straight through the fence and then some will stay in because they know that’s there home or were they should be. Or like my sheep the gate doesn’t even have to be open to search for new opportunities. It’s okay to step out once and a while, find yourself and keep pushing! Reflecting back on 2020 I feel like since this whole corona virus madness has started. I have been able to do more things with my family, making more memories, and be on the farm more and doing things for me, projects, planning etc. I am forever thankful! Just because you may feel like the gate is closed and you can’t do what you want... Look beyond that...open another gate, there is plenty in the pasture\life! Do what you can right now, don’t stop in your tracks and do nothing. Spend that quality time with family, make time for YOU, maybe think about something you’ve wanted to change in your life but you haven’t felt like you have had the time!! Chase your dreams, make the best of life right now! Make stories to tell everyone in 20 years, this could be the worst year of your life but it doesn’t have to be. In fact 2020, could be the biggest year of your life! I needed a pep talk this morning with myself, I’m on the struggle bus right now! Things are very different and not going as hoped or planned, but I cannot let that stop me pushing through things, reaching goals, and yet still enjoying life! Wanted to share with you all! Have a great Tuesday! Xoxo A Growers Granddaughter ![]()
