I spy with my little eye…something white..
And that white little thing you see is a flower on a soybean plant! This field was planted on May 11 May 12. Beginning flowering means soybean is at growth stage R1..This soybean plant however is closer to R2, meaning it has an open flower at one of the top nodes. This is very important, soybeans are now in the reproductive stage and will begin pod development. Rain is crucial right now for the yields of crops, corn is beginning to tassel, full season soybeans are flowering. Pray for rain this weekend! I know it’s a Holiday weekend and everyone wants cookouts outside and fireworks, and rain doesn’t allow that but also if it doesn’t rain we’ve got a serious problem on our hands. Look outside if your yard isn’t growing, or looking sick, so are our crops and pastures! The sad thing is we are in just abnormally dry conditions, and suffering already, others in the state and other states, the term drought is real! Pray for farmers! • • • • • #agrowersgranddaughter #prayforfarmers #agriculture #prayforrain
