“I have big dreams for this place”
A place I now call home, a place of new beginnings, a place I’ve dreamed of having..A place to grow crops, a place to grow a garden, a place to grow myself, a place to let the sheep roam… my first farm, a place where hard work and dedication pays off! This interview was special, but how I got it meant more! As you all know, a little over a month ago my Ag teacher/FFA advisor and Wes York passed away! This was also the same week I got asked to interview, in fact a couple days later.. A classmate/friend Camryn from high school messaged me asking if I would be interested in an interview. Camryn also works for KFB. I said yes but I asked how I got this interview. She said her boss Mr. Thornberry heard of Mr. York passing and was looking for photos, when he came across a photo at volleyball courts(see below). He asked who I was and then he looked me up and found my blog.. This is very special to me because York has impacted my life in many ways and helped me to the person I am today, even while aggravating me.. Even after he had passed he still was, and still is moving through his students! My other Ag teacher Magen Woods, read a book to us “Oh, the places you’ll go” by Dr.Seuss. I never knew how much that book would actually mean to me.. Through the ups and downs you still find yourself still going places.. My Ag teachers/FFA advisors are so special to me, I would do anything for them! They pushed me to do things I would’ve never done.. even after high school! •••••• I strive to be a leader and role model just like they were to me.. just like my parents and grandparents! Find your support system, your family and friends.. This is me saying to my followers believe in yourself, chase your dreams..It’s okay to be nervous…Let the nerves and fears push you towards your goal! It’s okay to not get everything on first try. What’s important is that you are TRYING. KFB members should’ve received Junes issue this week! I received mine yesterday! Page 16! I’ve had lots of new followers and subscribers in last couple of days. Thank you! I am very excited to continuing sharing my journey in agriculture, chasing dreams, while working along side my papa on his farm and following in his footsteps! Growing with you, for you, learning with you and for you, while advocating for agriculture! I hope you all enjoy this page!
